Archival research

If your own lines of family history research have hit a brick wall, I can research other archival material to open up new lines of enquiry. This might include war records and diaries, trade directories, electoral registers and other sources.

Archive material can also provide enhanced detail about individuals of particular interest to you if you are seeking to expand your knowledge of your family history and have more than the bare facts of lineage.

Local background

I can also visit locations to see if certain houses or buildings still exist, take photos of them and anything else of note, and perform any other kind of local research.

My fee is GBP £20 per hour, including travel within my area of coverage. Wider travel and any additional expenses incurred will be negotiable by prior agreement.
